I don't claim to know everything
yeah and am no better human. Just a sinner like you. But I believe we all have
our issues. We fight different battles even though we are on the same battle
field. Ranging from addiction to alcohol
and drugs through to fornication and lies. GOD doesn't hold any of these things
against us. (Oh! You think he does? Then why send Jesus?) .
I don’t know what you are battling with
in this life, I can’t tell how much you despise them and you are probably
cursing the day you got involved. It could be addiction to drinking, smoking,
fornicating or adultery, lies and theft, but I know one sure solution that
conquers all - Jesus Christ.
If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all
unrighteousness.
I John 1:9
He understands the limit and
boundaries within which our human strength can go and he knows when the battle
goes beyond that. That’s fair enough. Inasmuch as He would like to fight your
battles for you, you need to first submit to his power. Accept the fact that
the battle is not yours to fight and humbly accept that without him you can’t
overcome your problems. Trust me; this works like nothing else does. The devil
hates it when we stop fighting him and allow our Lord Jesus Christ deal with
him.
For our struggle is not
against the flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in
the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the
day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your grounds, and after you have
done everything to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled
around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your
feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
Ephesians 6:12
Take note: God deals with everyone
one differently according to the purpose to which he has called them. Some battles
he wins for us instantly, others he takes his time and walks us through a process
and when he’s done with us, we come out stronger and better.
Don’t let the devil deceive you
think that you are his. I mean you were not born with alcohol, neither did you
exit your mother’s womb with a pack of cigarette. Before you had sex, you never
had sex. All these vices are invited into ourselves by us. Possibly, if we had
employed a little amount of self-control from the beginning, we wouldn’t have
ended up at this point. But all things work together for good for the good of
them who love the Lord, to them who are called according to His purpose. Whatever
you are battling with in your spirit today, it’s so because GOD wants to use
you as a testimony to His work. So get up and pick up your cross (burden) and
come lay it before His cross. And He will make sure that burden is lifted out
of your life.
Therefore we do not loose heart. Though
outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16
Trust me yeah, it’s not as hard as
we think it is. Honestly, but for the deception of the devil (making us think
we don’t have control), nothing has the power to hold us or tie us down. Didn’t
he say he created us in his own image? Didn’t he say he has given us power over
principalities and powers in high places? Doesn’t his word tell us that above
all things he created man to take control of everything? Don’t let the devil
deceive you to think you are anything lesser. You have power over the devil and
his evil vices IN THE NAME OF JESUS. Whatever is holding you down is a mirage.
May the Glory of our Lord Jesus
Christ blind you with faith so that you don’t see this mirage anymore.
Then he called his twelve disciples together and gave
them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
Luke 9: 1
May I pray with you in the name of
Jesus Christ?
Father in the might name of Jesus
your beloved son, we thank you for the fact that we are still alive till this
day. Lord we are just mere mortals and we keep failing you each day by the sins
we commit both consciously and unconsciously. But we thank you for letting your
son die on the cross for us so we can be redeemed and be presentable in your
presence. Father, we come to you as humble sons and daughters, accepting that
we are nothing without you and your grace. Lord, you know our hearts and you
know that our desire is to serve you and be faithful to you. But Father, the
evil one lead us to believe we were not worthy of your grace and your son taught
us otherwise; He said we should lay down our problems before your throne and at
his feet and so we are here before you. We have fought with our might but we
failed. Knowing you are a God who has never failed, we run to you. We pray you
accept us into your light so that any part of us that has been covered with
darkness be lighted up as from this day onwards.
Amen
In conclusion, know that the God you
have chosen to follow is a faithful God. He never fails and he will never fail.
He is the God of all gods.
And now. O Lord, you are God and your words
are true, and you have promised these good things to your servant.
2 Samuel 7: 28
DON’T GIVE UP ON GOD CUZ HE WON’T
GIVE UP ON YOU. Just know that HE IS ABLE.
-Detrick Haddon
Food
for thought.
You are the salt of the earth. But if the
salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good
for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
Matthew 5:13
